Different ways of Subscribing a blog

What is subscribe and types of subscription have been discussed in previous post.

                                 Now , How to subscribe a blog ? , methods written in this post will be according to previous post or types of subscription one by one.

Differences or meanings of each methods is also written in previous post.

1. How to follow Blog ?

  A blog can be followed with the help of Google friend connect. Steps involved:

               a) Find "Google friend connect gadget" on blog , it will look like this :

                

b) Click on " JOIN THIS SITE " button , as shown in fig.

c) After that select the website on which you have created your email id . Mostly yahoo or google(gmail).

d) Then , enter your email and password , click sign in.

e)Then keep the settings according to your wish , and then follow the blog publicly or privately as you wish.

2. How to subscribe through Email?

To get feed direct in your inbox , you can use feedburner as written in previous post.Steps involved:

   

a) Find a gadget , which asks your Email to follow blog not password , It may have heading " Follow by email " etc.

b) Enter your e-mail in it and submit it .

c) Now , navigate towards your inbox , you will get an e-mail of confirmation .

d) Click on confirmation link and complete your subscription.

3. How to get Rss or Atom feed ?

To get updates through rss or atom we do not need to enter any e-mail or password , we just needed the URL of the blog of which you want feed.Steps involved:

1. Behind the url of the blog just type :

/feeds/posts/default                                                   for atom    (src: blogger help)

/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss                                         for rss      (src: blogger help)

example : My blog's  Rss Feed Url

http://hrmnzblogtips.blogspot.com//feeds/posts/default?alt=rss
